You are whom you associate with

I read an article in the local freebie newspaper yesterday where a friend of mine, Nik Halik, had been interviewed about his new book (which I bought today!), The Thrillionaire.

When asked about the best advice his parents had ever given him, he replied, “You are whom you associate with”. Interesting…

I had the pleasure of meeting Nik as well as his lovely sister Victoria at a World Internet Summit in 2006 in Sydney, Australia and I have since worked with Nik, Victoria and their Financial Freedom Institute (FFI) team on several occasions since, at their Money Masters seminars.

Here’s a picture of Nik and I at the World Internet Summit, 2006. I can’t believe that was over 2 years ago!!!

I’ve never told them this, but meeting Nik and Victoria was a big turning point in my life. I’ve had some massive ups and downs since then, but I’ve remained focused on my goals, and I look forward to the day when I can thank them for being an integral part of my success. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have my web development business! (TheFabulousWebsiteChick.com )

Here’s Nik and I last year while I was working on their logistics team at the Brisbane Money Masters seminar. Yet another fun event!

Just hanging out with successful people such as Nik, Victoria and many of the other presenters they work with is great fun! They all exude a positive energy or something - I’m not sure what it is - but I always feel uplifted when I am around them. They are the kind of people I like to associate with!

If you haven’t done so already, do a search and find Nik Halik’s book, The Thrillionaire - it’ll definitely be worth reading, if knowing what he’s like in person is anything to go by!

How to Make Money While You Sleep

Today I attended a seminar with my Mum, which was presented by Brett McFall. I recently bought his book, “How to Make Money While You Sleep”, which is brilliant for anybody wanting a step by step guide to starting off an online business.

I even picked up some useful bits of information from the book, and even more today! Not only that, but I met some wonderful people!

Seminars like this are a great way to network and meet like-minded people, which is probably the main reason why I go - it’s nice to talk to people who know what I’m talking about!!
