My Clickbank Experiment - How things are going

I started the Clickbank experiment a little while ago now, and I’ve not done a lot of stuff on it lately, however our sales have reached $240, which we’re pretty happy about!

Ok, it’s not enough to set us up for life, but it’s a start - and it’s proof that one can make money selling stuff that’s part of a HUGE niche! Imagine what I could do if I dug down deeper into another niche!?

My website now has a PR ranking of 3/10 too, which surprised me because the highest I’ve had to date is 2/10 and a week ago it was 0/10, so I am impressed!

As for site visitors, this month I’ve averaged around 45 visitors a day. I’ll be happier when it reaches 100 a day, but again it’s a good start!

It’s almost the end of the month and I’ve had 1424 visitors and I have been found in the search engines under 97 key phrases or keywords. Woo hoo!

Oh! And I also have 173 email subscribers!!!

You are whom you associate with

I read an article in the local freebie newspaper yesterday where a friend of mine, Nik Halik, had been interviewed about his new book (which I bought today!), The Thrillionaire.

When asked about the best advice his parents had ever given him, he replied, “You are whom you associate with”. Interesting…

I had the pleasure of meeting Nik as well as his lovely sister Victoria at a World Internet Summit in 2006 in Sydney, Australia and I have since worked with Nik, Victoria and their Financial Freedom Institute (FFI) team on several occasions since, at their Money Masters seminars.

Here’s a picture of Nik and I at the World Internet Summit, 2006. I can’t believe that was over 2 years ago!!!

I’ve never told them this, but meeting Nik and Victoria was a big turning point in my life. I’ve had some massive ups and downs since then, but I’ve remained focused on my goals, and I look forward to the day when I can thank them for being an integral part of my success. Here’s Nik and I last year while I was working on their logistics team at the Brisbane Money Masters seminar. Yet another fun event!

Just hanging out with successful people such as Nik, Victoria and many of the other presenters they work with is great fun! They all exude a positive energy or something - I’m not sure what it is - but I always feel uplifted when I am around them. They are the kind of people I like to associate with!

If you haven’t done so already, do a search and find Nik Halik’s book, The Thrillionaire - it’ll definitely be worth reading, if knowing what he’s like in person is anything to go by!

Internet marketing update

It’s been a while since I last posted on this website - I’ve been pretty busy concentrating on my clickbank experiment which is going very slowly, but hey - it’s going! I’ve made a few sales now, and it seems that when I least expect it, I see another sale!

I’ve also been working on my dedicated web development website. I now have more clients, and am yet to pay for specific advertising, so I am pretty happy with how things are going there! I have recently joined some business networking associations and once I get my business cards, I’ll be able to do a little more of what I enjoy doing - building websites and teaching others how to do it!

In fact, I have a client due here in 5 minutes so I can teach her how to add and modify content on her website, so I’d better go!

Even a small business must have a web presence!

As a small, sole operated business, it was essential that I created a strong web presence without incurring excessive set-up and maintenance costs. The nature of my business is fluid, necessitating updates to my site 2-3 times per week.

Michelle was able to design a website that was visually appealing and reflective of my industry, linear in style and easy to navigate via clear linkages.
